OUR WHY

We started Fresh Start Durham to provide free showers, supplies, and most importantly love and dignity to those in need in the city of Durham.

A daily shower and clean clothes are something that the majority of people in the United States take for granted. Most of us don’t even think about our ability to have running hot water and clean clothes to wear.

For people without these most basic needs, it can have a devastating effect on their pride, dignity, and the ability to make a change in their current life’s situation. We aim to change that with Fresh Start Durham.

Fresh Start Durham, a 501c3 nonprofit, provides assistance and support to those in our community that need a helping hand.
